Sailor & I are back with a new EP release:
"John Franklin" - Dedicated to the great explorer and circumnavigator Sir John Franklin (1786-1847).
John Franklin's Arctic expedition to find the Northwest Passage, a northern sea route between Europe and North America, was notable as much for its Victorian megalomania as for it exciting journey of discovery. Similar qualities might also describe the creative process Sailor & I went through when they spent a few days with producer Jon Bergstrom and sound technician Anton Lundberg in a studio in Stockholm.
"Franklin's expedition also summarizes the sound on the EP." says Alexander Sjödin, singer and songwriter of Sailor & I - explorers in the musical borderland between England and the USA. |
